FERNDALE, Wash. — Drivers are warned to expect detours around 4th Avenue between Vista Drive and Main Street during repaving work that will require closing all lanes Thursday and Friday.

An advisory from the City of Ferndale says the road is expected to be closed from as early as 7am Thursday to as late as 7pm Friday. It will remain closed overnight during this time period.

The work being done to grind and repave the section of road is associated with a nearby private development project according to the city advisory.

2 commercial buildings with driveways within the work area will not be cut off during the road closure since their parking lots also have driveways on Vista Drive.
