WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The Seattle office of the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for areas above 2,000 feet between Thursday and Sunday mornings due to possible snow accumulations of 3 feet.
The watch area includes the Cascade Mountains within Whatcom and Skagit Counties along with the Olympic Mountains and the Cascades within King, Lewis, Pierce and Snohomish Counties. These area include the Mount Baker ski area, Stevens and Snoqualmie passes, Crystal Mountain ski area and the Paradise Lodge on Mount Rainer.
The watch period is from 10am tomorrow, Thursday, November 30th, and 10am Sunday, December 3rd.
Motorists should be prepared for winter conditions.
