Original story:
According to a Ferndale weather monitoring station (see graphic), it was shortly after noon when temperature and wind speeds both heading upwards on the graphs.

By then the day’s rainfall total had hit a third of an inch.

There was one wind gust recorded of over 60mph about 2:30pm.

The National Weather Service had issued a wind advisory yesterday and the Ferndale weather forecast says to expect another quarter inch of rain tonight.

While rains locally and in the mountains are expected to cause the Nooksack River level to rise quickly in the Ferndale area over the next 24 hours, no flooding is expected.
