WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — As of 7:30am this morning, Thursday, December 11, 2025, Whatcom County schools and others have announced the following impacts due to sub-freezing temperatures, snow and road conditions.
- Bellingham Schools – no announcement – scheduled early dismissal
- Bellingham Christian Schools – no announcement
- Assumption Catholic School – no announcement
- Ferndale School District – all schools closed, all extracurricular activities canceled
- Lummi Nation School – closed, all extracurricular activities canceled
- Blaine School District – no announcement
- Lynden School District – no announcement
- Lynden Christian Schools – one-hour delay, preschool classes delayed one-hour and will release at regular time, buses will run as allowed and able, extracurricular activities canceled
- Nooksack Valley School District – all schools closed, all extracurricular activities canceled
- Meridian School District – all schools open on regular schedules, anticipate potential delays for all school bus routes
- Mount Baker School District – all schools closed
- Whatcom Intergenerational High School – closed
- Cornerstone Christian School – no announcement
- Ebenezer Christian School – no announcement
- Bellingham Technical College – no announcement
- Western Washington University – no announcement
- Whatcom Community College – no announcement
- Northwest Indian College – no announcement
- Lummi Health Center and Clinic – no announcement
- Nooksack Tribal Offices and Health Clinic – no announcement
- Whatcom County Library System – Everson Library is closed, Deming Library late opening at 1pm, bookmobile stops canceled at Acme and Lake Samish
- Whatcom Transportation Authority – some buses delayed or detoured, refer to BusTracker app
- Amtrak Cascades – service suspended between Vancouver, BC and Seattle with no substitute transportation available
- Mount Baker Highway (SR542) – all lanes closed east of Silver Lake Road
