WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — As of 7am this morning, Friday, December 12, 2025, Whatcom County schools and others have announced the following impacts due to sub-freezing temperatures, snow and road conditions.
- Bellingham Schools – no announcement
- Bellingham Christian Schools – no announcement
- Assumption Catholic School – no announcement
- Ferndale School District – all schools closed, all extracurricular activities canceled
- Lummi Nation School – closed, all extracurricular activities canceled
- Blaine School District – no announcement
- Lynden School District – two-hour delay, out of district transportation canceled, morning preschool and community transitions canceled. Lynden Academy starts one hour late
- Lynden Christian Schools – on regular schedule
- Nooksack Valley School District – all schools closed, all extracurricular activities canceled
- Meridian School District – all schools open on regular Friday one-hour late arrival schedule
- Mount Baker School District – 90-minute delay, transportation routes on normal schedules
- Whatcom Intergenerational High School – 2-hour delay
- Cornerstone Christian School – no announcement
- Ebenezer Christian School – no announcement
- Bellingham Technical College – no announcement
- Western Washington University – no announcement
- Whatcom Community College – no announcement
- Northwest Indian College – closed
- Lummi Health Center and Clinic – no announcement
- Nooksack Tribal Offices and Health Clinic – open 10am to 3pm
- Whatcom County Library System – no announcement
- Whatcom Transportation Authority – some buses delayed or detoured, refer to BusTracker app
- Amtrak Cascades – service suspended between Vancouver, BC and Seattle with no substitute transportation available
- Mount Baker Highway (SR542) – all lanes closed east of Silver Lake Road per WSDOT
