Didn’t this facility get recognition from our previous governor Jay inslee?, didn’t he promise them $300k in state taxpayer “grant” money?…..a FOREIGN owned business, meaning profits go to another country…yay!, so worthy of our tax dollars
Another example of bad leftist ideals

Grand opening was in September 2023 and they were in bankruptcy October 2024?! This has all the earmarks of a classic pump and dump. All they did at the Ferndale facility (a free trade zone) was put USA made mirrors on Chinese electric trucks and ship them to Canada, likely only needing several employees to do so. “Vicinity Motor Corp is a terrific win for the citizens of Whatcom County and the state of Washington,” said Port Commissioner Bobby Briscoe. “New family-wage job opportunities are why the Port created the Regional Economic Partnership and this project shows what is possible with a first-class economic development team and grant incentives from the state.”
They were never going to build the electric buses that the leftists wanted, which would have cost twice the price of diesel, not including the infrastructure necessary. How did Jay Inslee and Satpal Sidhu and the others that promoted this make out? Did they sell their stock before it crashed? Just another massive green scam. Hopefully DOGE makes it to Whatcom county, the sooner the better.
