WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Following and in anticipation of further heavy rains in the lowlands and in the higher elevations of Whatcom County, the following road closures and impacts in unincorporated areas have been announced by Whatcom County Public Works.

At about 11:40am, the City of Bellingham have announced the following road impacts and closures within the city limits.

About 1pm, the Washington State Patrol reported the northbound I-5 on- and off-ramps at Iowa Street in Bellingham were closed due to water over the road.

Not an officially reported location but first responders were dispatched about 1:15pm to a stranded vehicle in water on W Smith Road west of LaBounty Drive.
Slater Road is reportedly to be closed at 4pm.
