A Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) contractor is scheduled to begin a resurfacing project on several western Washington roads this week, including Grandview Road (SR548).
Workers with Doolittle Construction, LLC. are scheduled begin work on Grandview Road between North Star Road and the Blaine Road roundabout tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15th.
- Wednesday, May 15th to Friday, May 17th – Shoulder closures 5am to 5pm
- Wednesday, May 29th – Single lane closures from 5am to 5pm
The work involves repairing pavement, sealing cracks and putting down a new thin surface over the highway. This will require shoulder and lane closures through a long work zone.
WSDOT officials say the work is scheduled during daytime hours and flaggers and a pilot car will alternate traffic through the work zone (indicated in red on the map below).
Other Whatcom County roads where resurfacing work is scheduled to be done are Mount Baker Highway (SR542) and Kendall Road (SR547).
