NOOKSACK, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the area near the intersection of Goodwin and S Pass Roads on Tuesday, September 13th, about 8:30am due to a report of gas odor in the area.
Initial radioed reports from the scene mentioned a strong natural gas odor and an audible hissing sound.
Cascade Natural Gas crews have responded.
Whatcom County Public Works reported closing S Pass Road between N Pass and Goodwin Roads and closing Goodwin Road between S Pass and Sorensen Roads.
As of 10:20am, there was no estimated time for reopening either road.
It was announced at 10:45am that both roads had been reopened.
