The following are closed today in observance of New Year’s Day since it occurred on Sunday:
* City of Ferndale offices
* US Post Office (no mail delivery)
* Banks, credit unions and many other professional service businesses
* Schools
* Ferndale Public Library
Still operating today are Whatcom Transportation Authority buses and Sanitary Service Company (SSC). Both are operating on their regular routes and schedules.
