BELLINGHAM, Wash. — First responders were dispatched about 12:35pm on Saturday, June 3rd, to the area of I-5 under the Sunset Drive overpass in Bellingham due to reports of a person suffering a medical emergency on the shoulder of the northbound lanes.
Northbound and southbound traffic was reportedly impacted while aid and law enforcement personnel provided care to the patient and investigated the incident.
Washington State Department of Transportation said I-5 lanes were reopened by 1pm.
