The pole was reported to have been sheared at the bottom while remaining suspended by connected power lines.

Initial reports from the scene were of visible smoke coming from the building.
The vehicle failed to stop at the end of the road and crashed into a parked truck.
The SUV ended up on its top against the median cable barrier.
Temperatures were in the mid 20s and it had been snowing much of the morning when the fire broke out.
Any occupants of the vehicle could not be initially located.
At least 1 person was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The driver was transported to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center.
