WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Seattle office reported a Jordanian man “with ties to terrorism” was arrested by the US Border Patrol near Lynden on Friday, November 15th.
The man, identified as Mohammad Hasan Abdellatif Albana, age 41, was arrested “after he entered the US without being admitted, inspected or paroled by a US immigration official, identifying Albana as a known or suspected terrorist.”
ERO took custody of Albana immediately following his arrest and, after immigration proceedings, he was removed to Jordan.
ERO Seattle is committed to the removal of noncitizens who pose a risk to the national security of the U.S. Our officers perform these removals dutifully as a part of a federal law enforcement effort to protect Pacific Northwest Communities.
