BELLINGHAM, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to a report of an assault with a knife about 4pm on Sunday, December 3rd. According to unconfirmed radio reports from law enforcement at the time, the stabbing was reported to have been committed at a vacant house and the victim was located about 1,000 feet away in the area of Northwest Drive and Aldrich Road.
The victim was reportedly stabbed in the upper arm.
Multiple law enforcement agencies set up a perimeter around the area. A description of the suspect was broadcast.
A suspect was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. Bellingham Fire Department aid crew was dispatched due to the suspect reporting to have been injured.
Bellingham Police Department booked Levi Jonathon Dudley, age 35, into the Whatcom County Jail charged with suspicion of 1st-degree assault.
Dudley has prior felony convictions for 2nd-degree burglary, 3rd-degree assault and unlawful delivery of controlled substance (cocaine).
As of December 4th, Dudley remained in custody pending a preliminary hearing in Whatcom County Superior Court where bail may be set.
