The National Weather Service issued a special statement this afternoon forewarning of a strong front expected to impact northwest Washington beginning Wednesday night.

According to the statement,

Strong winds are possible over portions of western Washington Wednesday night. A strong front and low pressure system is likely to affect the region. The most likely area for strong winds is the coast and the north interior and strong winds could continue into Thursday morning.

Updates are to be expected between then and now.
