BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Officials with Dallas, Texas-based Southwest Airlines announced they will begin providing direct flights through Bellingham International Airport to and from Eugene, Oregon and Oakland, California beginning November 7th.

Southwest also serves over 100 US locations enabling service through these locations via Bellingham using connections out of Eugene and Oakland.

Southwest officials said Bellingham will be the northernmost airport they serve. In March, when Southwest stated their intention to begin flights through Bellingham, they said Bellingham positioned them close to Vancouver, BC and, once the border reopens, they expect to serve Canadian travelers who already drive to Bellingham International Airport “to escape high fares and taxes.”

Bellingham International Airport is currently served by the following airlines providing direct service with airports at the cities listed below.
