FERNDALE, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Church Road and S Bakerview Park Drive in Ferndale about 2:12pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, due to reports of a rollover crash.
Initial reports from the scene were of a 3-vehicle crash with 1 on its side.
According to the PulsePoint EMS dispatch log reporting system, at least 1 patient was transported from the crash scene to PeaceHealth St Joseph’s Medical Center by a medic unit.
The section of Church Road is expected to be closed for an extended period. Traffic was being detoured via Lakeridge Drive and Sievers Way.

Ferndale Police issued the following statement at 4:45pm.
As a result of the collision, there was one fatality and three others were transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham. No minors were involved. Ferndale Police, along with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, and Whatcom County Fire District #7 are on scene. Church Road is expected to remain closed while the investigation continues. There will be no additional information released at this time.
