LYNDEN, Wash. — A semi-truck and trailer were blocking all lanes in the 8400 block of the Guide Meridian. It appeared from a Washington State Patrol photo that the trailer’s right-rear tires ended up in the ditch.
About 5:20pm, first responders were dispatched just north of the incident due to a crash between 2 vehicles in the backup. Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding said an SUV had been rear-ended by a pickup. The driver of the SUV was transported from the crash scene to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham by ambulance.
The semi-truck and trailer were cleared from the scene by 7pm.
A similar incident with a semi-truck and trailer occurred at the same location yesterday.
