WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Whatcom County Public Works will conduct lane striping from Sunday, July 5, 2026, through Thursday, July 9, 2026, according to a public notice from Whatcom County Public Works.
Crews will work nightly between about 8pm and about 6:30am. The work will cause intermittent delays on the following roads.
- Airport Drive
- Bay Road
- Bennett Drive
- Birch Bay Drive
- Birch Bay Lynden Road
- Cable Street
- Drayton Harbor Road
- East Axton Road
- East Smith Road
- Hannegan Road
- Harborview Road
- Haxton Way
- Lakeway Drive
- Lake Louise Road
- Lake Whatcom Boulevard
- Marine Drive
- North Shore Road
- Northwest Drive
- Slater Road
- Terrace Avenue North
- West Axton Road
- West Smith Road
- Yew Street Road
Whatcom County Public Works will also conduct chip seal work from Monday, July 6, 2026, through Thursday, July 9, 2026. Delays are expected between about 6am and about 6pm on the following roads.
- Assink Road
- Bloom Road
- Clay Road
- Depot Road
- Double Ditch Road north of State Route 546
- East Boundary Road west of Benson Road
- East Prairie Road
- Hammer Road
- Haveman Road
- Line Road
- Pangborn Road west of Hammer Road
- Visser Road
Drivers are instructed to reduce speed, look out for workers and equipment, and avoid driving on wet paint. The scheduled projects depend on weather conditions and are subject to change.
