Whatcom County Fire District 7 firefighters responded to a report of a residential fire with possible entrapment at the intersection of Harksell and Enterprise Roads this morning about 11:15am. The first units to arrive reported smoke and flames coming from the 2-story wood frame house.
Fire Chief Larry Hoffman said 1 patient was pronounced dead at the scene.
Whatcom County Fire Marshal personnel were at the scene investigating.
