Puget Sound blood supply “at emergency levels”

WESTERN WASHINGTON — On Thursday, January 23, 20225, Bloodworks Northwest issued an urgent plea for blood and platelet donations.

Our local blood supply has hit emergency levels as patient need is outpacing community blood donations. We’re asking everyone who is feeling healthy—especially Type O and platelet donors—to please schedule a donation ASAP and in the next eight weeks. Schedule your donation today and create a Bloodworks Donor Portal account now to be notified when drives are added near you.
