WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The National Weather Service in Seattle today, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 8am, issued a wind advisory for the Puget Sound region foothills and lowlands beginning today due to gusts expected to reach to 45mph.

- WHAT…Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph expected.
- WHERE…Foothills and Valleys of the North Cascades, Lowlands of Western Whatcom County, San Juan County, City of Seattle, Eastside, Foothills and Valleys of Central King County, Foothills and Valleys of Pierce and Southern King Counties, Foothills and Valleys of Snohomish and Northern King Counties, and Shoreline / Lynnwood / South Everett Area.
- WHEN…From 4 PM this afternoon to 6 AM PST Wednesday.
- IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
