North Cascades Highway (SR20) expected to reopen this month (April)

Officials with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced yesterday, April 10, 2025, that while no specific date has been set to reopen the North Cascades Highway (SR20), it is looking like it will happen in April.

The highway closed for the season on November 18, 2024, between the Ross Dam trailhead (milepost 134) on the west side and Silver Star gate (milepost 171) on the east side.
