Nooksack River crests higher than forecasts expected

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The Nooksack River, fed by recent moderate to heavy rainfall crested at gauges across the county late Saturday, October 19th, and Sunday morning. The crest levels were higher than recently forecast levels.

Crest levels at Saxon bridge, Cedarville and Ferndale gauges reached action levels but fell short of minor flood stage levels.

Whatcom County Public Works have not reported any additional road closures after posting a list yesterday.
