LUMMI PENINSULA, Wash. — First responders were dispatched about 5:30am on Friday, September 23rd, due to multiple reports of an outdoor fire in the 2800 block of Lummi Shore Road.
It was reported as of 6am, that both lanes of Lummi Shore Road were blocked by firefighting apparatus fighting a fire in the brush between the beach and the road. No estimate was available as to when the road may be reopened.
As of 6:30am, it was reported that 1 lane had been reopened with both directions of traffic alternating through it.
