The former Mountain View Elementary school building will be the site of law enforcement training exercises today and tomorrow. Some participants may be in plainclothes.
Training is expected to occur today (Monday) between 8am and 1pm and from 8am to noon tomorrow (Tuesday).
The campus is frequently used as a training site for FBI, Homeland Security, Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office and Whatcom County Fire Districts. Since law enforcement are often exercising tactical strategies, methods and equipment, short or no forewarning of their training exercises is not unusual.
