BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A large power outage impacting north and northeast Bellingham neighborhoods was first reported at 9:18am, Saturday, June 21, 2025, according to Puget Sound Energy (PSE).

As of 10:45am, over 4,700 PSE customer addresses were reported impacted and the cause was under investigation. The estimate for restoring power was 1:30pm.
The outage spanned an area between Columbia and Barkley neighborhoods with PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center in the center.
Electronic traffic signals were also impacted creating traffic slowdowns on main arterials in the area.
PSE reported the largest outage was resolved and power restored shortly after 11am.
