The Microsoft Azure platform, on which Microsoft Office, Teams and other services are based, began experiencing access problems that impacted users globally beginning late this morning, March 15th.
As of 2pm, Microsoft Azure engineers were reported to “have been engaged and are currently investigating.”
Microsoft Office officials reported, “Any service that leverages Azure Active Directory (AAD) may be affected. This includes but is not limited to Microsoft Teams, Forms, Exchange Online, Intune and Yammer.”
Such outages can create significant widespread impact during this time of remote access by workers to their businesses as a result of government-imposed COVID-19 mandates.
