Investigation into a suspicious vehicle leads to seizure of drugs, firearm and cash

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement today, Friday, September 19, 2025, regarding a recent arrest that resulted in the seizure of cocaine, a firearm and cash.

On September 16, 2025, deputies contacted a suspicious vehicle in the 4000 block of Eliza Ave in Bellingham. Deputies contacted the two occupants, who provided inconsistent information.  A drug K-9 detected narcotics inside the vehicle, and a search warrant was obtained.  Deputies located 10 kilograms of cocaine, a loaded firearm, and cash. The cocaine was packaged with an image of the Marvel movie character Thor.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.
