BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Washington State Patrol troopers shut down I-5 in both directions between the Sunset Drive and Ohio/Iowa Street interchanges today, December 20th, about 1:10pm.
They had received reports of a person in crisis in the area and were attempting to make contact with assistance from local agencies. Bellingham Police Department say their negotiators arrived at the scene
Law enforcement reported the incident had been safely resolved and all lanes of I-5 were reopened at 2:20pm.
