FERNDALE, Wash. — Whatcom County Parks and Recreation issued a statement Friday, January 9, 2026, saying the reopening of the boat launch parking lot and nearby off-leash dog area was planned for Monday.

We anticipate reopening the boat launch parking lot and the off-leash dog area on Monday, January 12th. Please note the remainder of the park, including Tennant Lake, will remain temporarily closed as repairs continue.

For everyone’s safety, we ask visitors to respect the posted closures. These areas are closed to protect both the public and our staff while work is underway.
