High Wind Watch issued for Saturday evening through Sunday morning

“Gusts as high as 60mph are possible,” according to a High Wind Watch issued today by the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Seattle.

According to the alert, sustained southeast winds of 20 to 40mph with gusts to 60mph are expected to begin Saturday evening, peak early Sunday morning and begin easing after sunrise on Sunday.

Areas expected to be impacted range from Port Townsend to Cherry Point, including the Ferndale area.
