Gunshot victim shows up at Bellingham hospital, reports road rage incident

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Bellingham Police Department (BPD) says they have arrested 1 person and continue investigating a road rage incident that resulted in a person suffering a gunshot wound.

According to a BPD statement, Sunday, August 18th, about 9am, a road rage incident occurred in the eastbound lanes at the intersection of Iowa Street and Moore Street.

According to emergency services radio transmissions, a person with a gunshot wound showed up at the PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center emergency department about 9:10am.

BPD later arrested Kipp Bradlee Snell, age 23, and booked him into the Whatcom County Jail about 5:25pm charged with suspicion of 1st-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

It was reported several motorists were present at the time and may have witnessed the incident. The vehicles involved are a green Ford Explorer and a silver Honda sedan.
