Work has begun preparing the site where a new Ferndale business park is planned.
Workers have been busy earthmoving in the fields along LaBounty Drive and west of Anderson Packaging in preparation for construction of multiple buildings.
According to the property’s website, the pre-engineered steel buildings will be up to 10,000-square-feet and include loading docks. The Pacific Fern Industrial Business Park development will also include walking trails and retain existing wildlife habitat.
The expectation is for the first buildings to be ready for occupancy in about 6 months.
