WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — As of 7am today, Friday, February 7, 2025, many Whatcom County schools and other agencies have announced delays and closures for today due to continued sub-freezing temperatures and road conditions.
- Bellingham Schools – schools are open and running on normal schedules with regular bus routes
- Bellingham Christian Schools – 1-hour late start, regular schedules for preschool and kindergarten
- Assumption Catholic School – no announcement
- Ferndale School District – all classes will start 2 hours late
- Lummi Nation School – running on normal schedules, prescheduled half-day
- Blaine School District – all classes will start 2 hours late, no preschool
- Lynden School District – all classes will start 2 hours late
- Lynden Christian Schools – all classes will start 1 hour late
- Nooksack Valley School District – schools are open and running on normal schedules
- Meridian School District – all classes will start 1 hour late with regular bus routes in effect
- Mount Baker School District – no announcement
- Whatcom Intergenerational High School – all classes will start 2 hours late
- Khalsa Academy – no announcement
- Cornerstone Christian School – classes start 1 hour late
- Ebenezer Christian School – classes will start 1 hour late
- Bellingham Technical College – no announcement
- Western Washington University – no announcement
- Whatcom Community College – no announcement
- Northwest Indian College – all classes on normal schedules
- Lummi Health Center and Clinic – open during regular hours
- Nooksack Tribal Offices and Health Clinic – no announcement
- Whatcom County Library System – no announcement
- Whatcom Transportation Authority – operating most routes but delays can be expected, no FLEX service on routes 71X, 72X, or 75, no Zone service
- Amtrak Cascades – trains operating between Seattle and Vancouver are currently on time
- Mount Baker Highway (SR542) – traction tires required, chains required on vehicles over 10,000 gross vehicle weight, oversize vehicles prohibited
- Ferndale Food Bank – no announcement
- Ferndale Community Services Resource Center – no announcement
- Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation – all classes and activities cancelled
