EVERSON/NOOKSACK, Wash. — Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reported about 2:50pm Monday, December 15, 2025, that a power outage had occurred across both Everson and Nooksack.

According to PSE, 1,360 customer addresses were impacted.
A wind advisory is in effect due to forecast gusts of up to 45mph across Whatcom County.
The area is recovering from recent flooding and the ground is saturated. High winds today combined with the saturated ground has resulted in multiple trees falling onto power lines causing power outages.
As of 4:20pm, PSE said the cause was under investigation and an estimate for restoring power was not being provided due to PSE crews being stretched thin during the windstorm.
By 4:40pm, the number of impacted addresses was down to 566.
Further east, PSE reported an outage impacting areas along about 5 miles of the Mount Baker Highway (SR542) began about 3:!5pm.

According to PSE, 1,151 customer addresses were impacted.
As of 4:30pm, PSE again said the cause was under investigation and an estimate for restoring power was not available.
