The Ferndale School District announced the winners of the 2015 American Mathematics Competition, sponsored by the Mathematics Association of America (www.maa.org).
Ferndale High School students have participated every year since 1980. This year, one hundred and fifty Ferndale students participated in the competition.
The contest consists of two levels: AMC-12, for 11th and 12th grade students, and AMC-10, for 9th and 10th grade students.

AMC-12
- 1st Place: Daniel Erickson, Senior
Note, Daniel has won either the AMC-10 or the AMC-12 for four years in a row, a new school record. - 2nd place: Celeste Alvarez, Junior
