Law enforcement are looking for a smaller vehicle with significant front-end damage that was last seen heading northbound on Northwest Drive from W Axton Road after crashing into another vehicle.
According to a report from a friend of the victim, the suspect vehicle rear-ended the victim’s Toyota station wagon about 6pm yesterday, Sunday, February 3rd in the area of the intersection of W Axton Road and Northwest Drive. Aid was not dispatched and there were no reports of injuries.
Lyn Burger, a friend of the victim, said in an email, “The person that hit her did not even stick around, just took off.” Burger has put out an appeal to the community.
My friend does not have the luxury of renting a car or buying a new/used car to replace her station wagon. If anyone would be willing to loan or give her a working car, that would be an amazing gift for her.
I may be able to offer a modest reward to someone that has information that leads to the conviction of this crime.
Can you help?
Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle or driver is asked to contact Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Collin Hester at (360) 778-6775 and refer to incident #19A04208.
Anyone interested in providing a loaner or gift vehicle can make arrangements with Burger by emailing lyninferndale@comcast.net.
