SUDDEN VALLEY, Wash. — First responders were dispatched about 4:45pm on Thursday, June 20th, to the intersection of Lake Louise Road and Lake Whatcom Boulevard due to reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash with the vehicle on fire and an occupant possibly entrapped.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office said the driver had been transported to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center by ambulance.
Officials with the Sudden Valley Community Association (SVCA) reported the crash was a fatality.
Lake Whatcom Boulevard was closed for 2 hours as a result of the crash. A vehicle detouring via Southern Court left the road resulting in that route being closed according to the SVCA.
