Fallen tree block Mt Baker Highway, cause power outage

GLACIER, Wash. — Puget Sound Energy reported 46 customer addresses were without power east of the intersection of Silver Lake Road and Mount Baker Highway (SR542) starting about 1:10pm due to trees/vegetation. First responders were dispatched a few minutes later due to reports of a tree down and power lines hanging low fully blocking both lanes.

Initial reports from the scene were of a large tree down blocking 3/4 of the road.

No estimate for when the road would be reopened
