EVERSON, Wash. — Washington State Patrol (WSP) said today, Monday, February 13th, that an Everson woman died after being involved in a crash Sunday at about 1:30pm at the intersection of E Badger Road (SR546) and Trapline Road.

According to a press memo from WSP, the Everson woman was northbound on Trapline Road when the blue 2012 Hyundai Accent she was driving failed to stop at a stop sign at E Badger Road. The Hyundai collided with a silver 2019 Kia Soul traveling eastbound on E Badger Road. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch after colliding in the intersection.
A Bellingham man driving the Kia was reportedly not injured. The woman had been transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph’s Medical Center where she was later declared deceased.
Both drivers, the only occupants in their vehicles, were determined to have been wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and neither drugs nor alcohol were considered involved.
Both vehicles were considered total losses and were towed from the scene.
