Data shows southbound border volumes at Whatcom crossings holding steady

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Contrary to some media reports, data collected shows southbound border crossing volumes in Whatcom County have been holding relatively steady over the past month.

There was a temporary drop in volume during late January and early February. This is the same time the region was hit by snow events, high winds and below freezing temperatures that resulted in school closures and delayed openings for some businesses and organizations due to difficult travel.
