Cherry Street reopened in Sumas

SUMAS, Wash. — City of Sumas officials announced Cherry Street was reopened to traffic in both directions about 12pm today, December 1st.

Cherry Street had been covered by flood waters several times over the past 16 days.

Officials said the flood water was almost gone in town by 10am. “We look forward to a couple days of not having to worry about additional flooding.”
