Between 1,500 and 2,000 ghouls, goblins and superheroes are expected to converge on downtown.
The event is open to the community and all ages.
In addition to the contest visitors will be treated to live music and vendors handing out candy.
While Columbus Day is a federal holiday, many offices and businesses will remain open.
The YES club will hold its first meeting on Saturday, September 30th.
The show begins at 7pm in the FHS auditorium.
