What’s open and closed on Veterans Day

Friday, November 10th, is being observed as Veterans Day, a US federal holiday and Saturday is the actual date. As a result, many government offices, services and businesses will not be open or running Friday and/or Saturday.

Ferndale schools: Closed Friday (normally closed Saturday)
City Offices and Ferndale Police station: Closed Friday (normally closed Saturday)
County, State and Federal offices and courts: Closed Friday (normally closed Saturday)
Post office: Open with mail delivery on Friday / Closed with no mail delivery on Saturday
Ferndale Public Library: Open Friday / Closed Saturday
Banks and credit unions: Some may be closed on Friday or Saturday – call to confirm
Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA): Full service both Friday and Saturday
Ferndale Senior Activity Center: Closed Friday and Saturday
YMCA Ferndale location: Open Friday and Saturday

Sanitary Service Company (SSC) garbage and recycling pick up routes will be serviced on their regular schedule.
