BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County Fire Protection District 4 headquarters at Station 12 will be the location for free child safety seat checks on May 7th.
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be offering free car seat safety checks and education to parents and caregivers on Saturday, May 7th, from 10am to 1pm at 4142 Britton Loop in Bellingham.
The Saturday event is part of a joint venture from Whatcom County EMS, North Whatcom Fire & Rescue, North Sound ACH, and Safe Kids Northwest. The day will include instruction on how to install and use car seats correctly. Technicians will also help determine if your child is in the right seat for their age and size and explain the importance of registering car seats with their manufacturers so parents and caregivers can be notified if there is a recall.
