Ferndale is waking up to blustery winds and much cooler temperatures today. Any picnic plans should probably be adjusted accordingly. The forecast says we will be lucky to hit 70-degrees today so you may want to grab a coat on the way out the door.
More wind and rain are expected to pick up this afternoon and evening with winds ranging from 20 to 30 mph. The rains will be light, expecting less than a tenth of an inch today.
Looking at the radar, the 50%+ chance of precipitation appears to be coming at us from the northwest. Assuming it continues on its current path and speed, the rain could arrive in Ferndale sometime before noon.
And, yes, the “complete” burn ban remains in effect. It will take many days of measurable rain before that gets lifted.
