BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Fire Department (BFD) reported they were dispatched to a marina about 1:45am on October 27th due to report of a boat fire. BFD crews arrived to find a 68-foot fishing boat on fire.
Our crews quickly put out the fire with handlines from our fire engines and the fireboat, The Salish Star. One person was on the boat when the fire began, but was able to exit the boat without any injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
