BELLINGHAM, Wash. — About 2:55pm on Saturday, February 24th, What-Comm 911 dispatchers told Bellingham Police they had received a report of several shots fired from a dark-colored vehicle in the 2400 block of E Bakerview Road.
Detailed description of the vehicle and occupants were broadcast to law enforcement in the area.
Initial reports said there was damage to a front window to a business but no injuries.
About 3:50pm, the suspect vehicle was located by a Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office deputy in the area of Telegraph Road and Meridian Street, about 2 miles away. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver and a passenger were taken into custody. 4 dogs in the vehicle were placed into the care of the Whatcom Humane Society.
According to Whatcom County Jail records, Michael Raymond King, age 42 and of Seattle, and Chomreun Sok, age 41 and of Seattle, were booked into the jail charged with suspicion of drive-by shooting and 1st-degree malicious mischief with damage exceeding $5,000.
