BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Health Dental Commission charged Bellingham dentist Faith R. Bult with unprofessional conduct in June.
According to a Department of Health news release, Bult had allegedly suffered a head injury and her patients and staff became concerned about her work demeanor.
Bult had entered a plea of guilty to an amended charge of reckless driving based on events and unsafe behavior that took place on or around January 2020, the release said.
The release also noted that Bult allegedly submitted herself to a substance abuse monitoring program. The program reported to the commission that she was impaired and unable to practice with reasonable skill and safety and that she failed to comply with the monitoring program.
Health care providers charged with unprofessional conduct have 20 days to respond to the Department of Health in writing. The case then enters the settlement process. If no disciplinary agreement can be reached, the case will go to a hearing.
